BHA’s office occupies almost the entire 12th floor of the building. Large arched windows overlooking the Philadelphia Historic District frame the space. The abundance of natural light, as well as the increased air quality due to low or no VOC materials used, provides BHA’s staff with an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable environment to create and inspire. Remaining accountable for the environment, all of BHA’s office furniture is recyclable, from the chairs to the workstations.
At VEVA, BHA redesigned lobbies to allow natural light to flood through the space. A new café opens up to the elevator lobby, while a seating area and state-of-the-art conference rooms are available for tenant use. A new fitness center consists of a gym, studio and locker/shower rooms. New interior finishes and built-in millwork with blocks of color reflects a sophisticated and modern identity, while an outdoor courtyard offers a water feature, lawn golf and flexible seating area.
With the objective of creating a flexible and modern environment fostering a sense of community and encouraging team building, BHA created a high-density workstation system around several central cores which house offices, conference rooms, copy centers and employee break rooms. This approach allows for efficient and functional accessibility to these areas from all work stations, while providing an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable work environment.
The vision for this project was the creation of a bright, cheerful space broken down into smaller areas. This vision was achieved through the use of color, patterns, soffits and articulations. The reception area is the central point with training rooms, conference rooms, human resources, employee cafeteria, and mail room grouped behind it. Each side of the space is further broken down into offices, workstations, meeting space and coffee/copy areas.
Blackney Hayes Architects created a vibrant, new training center for Triangle Tube by converting an existing warehouse space within their manufacturing facility. Reflecting the design standards in the current Triangle Tube headquarters previously designed by BHA, the new center consists of training rooms, equipment labs, lunch room with catering kitchen, offices, restrooms, storage, and reception area.
IMS Health provides healthcare data and market research to pharmaceutical, consumer products, and healthcare companies. Blackney Hayes Architects was commissioned to design a new corporate facility that would project a corporate image reflecting a modern and cutting-edge firm. This goal was achieved through the use of exposed architectural elements, uniquely constructed shapes, and the innovative use of materials and colors.
