Blackney Hayes Architects has been commissioned by NewCourtland Senior Services to provide design and documentation for the redevelopment of the site located at 3232 Henry Avenue. The Master Plan developed by BHA consists of renovating the existing structures, formerly housing a hospital complex into independent living seniors housing and a LIFE Center. The project is envisioned to proceed in several phases. Phase 1 consists of the complete renovation and reuse of the existing low rise Pavilion and Terrace Building into 61 residential units, along with a 3-story addition that includes a LIFE center and 24 residential units. Phase 1 is entering construction, and will be built utilizing different funding sources as shown in the master plan prepared by BHA.
