Blackney Hayes Architects has been working with Mastery Charter Schools to convert outdated Philadelphia schools into facilities suitable for the needs of MCS. For the C. Thomas School, BHA designed the modifications to four floors to bring the school from its past condition int o the present by adding a central circulation space, creating an exterior entrance plaza, improving lighting, and creating a traffic flow – all of which gives the supervisors a visual vantage point.
