West Chester Area School District, Greystone Elementary School

Greystone Elementary is a new, two-story, 76,500 SF elementary school for the West Chester Area School District.  The school contains 24 classrooms to accommodate students in grades K-5, small group classrooms, specialty classrooms (music and art), a multi-purpose room, as well as other support spaces. A central courtyard provides daylight to inboard classrooms.

The school sits on what was once part of a larger estate that housed Greystone Hall, a 20th Century English Country Manor. The front elevation of the school pays tribute to Greystone Hall, with steep-pitched, shingle roofs, stone and cast stone veneer, and Tudor-style, heavy timber, and stucco entrance canopy.
