  • Rooted in Vision

A Legacy of Growth Through Design

In 2001, a new school opened in Philadelphia with one hundred freshmen and a vision of creating a place where students gain both the academic and personal tools they need to thrive beyond graduation. That single school has since grown into a network of 23 campuses across two states, serving more than 14,000 students. Mastery Charter Schools collaborated with Blackney Hayes to design their newest renaissance school, a ground-up campus built to shape the future of their growing network.

  • Built for Possibility

A Flagship Campus for Community and Learning

Located in Camden’s Cramer Hill neighborhood, this K-8 school is Mastery’s first entirely new construction. The 90,000 square foot building includes flexible classrooms, a library/technology hub, cafeteria/auditorium, and a gymnasium, all designed to support both learning and community. At the heart of the school is a tiered central rotunda that serves as a gathering space, anchoring the campus with a sense of place and purpose. Outside, students benefit from a multipurpose recreational field and courtyard, spaces built to reflect the same spirit of possibility that launched this journey over two decades ago.
