Carol Fluegge, Mercy Suburban Hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, likes the hardwood floors and artwork in the medical center’s new ambulatory-care facility opening next month at the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

Perhaps her favorite features are inspirational quotes from Sister Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Mercy Health System, sprinkled throughout the walls of the center.

Fluegge said Mercy Suburban’s goal in designing the mall health center was to create a place that was vibrant and sophisticated. Mercy Health System, the East Norriton, PA., hospital’s parent company, hired Blackney Hayes Architects of Philadelphia to design the center and TN Ward of Ardmore, PA., to build it.
