Cristo Rey Philadelphia, an independent Catholic high school for low-income students of all faiths, celebrates the groundbreaking of their 105,000 sf new school building at 17th and Allegheny Streets. A network of 32 high schools nationally, Cristo Rey Philadelphia opened in 2012 and its curriculum combines rigorous academics with professional work experience in businesses where the students are mentored by local working professionals.
